How do I join the USG Community?
Any Christian working in College or Pro sports is invited to join our Community Bible studies. These virtual, once-a-week meetings are a great way to study the Bible and connect with other professionals who understand the unique pressures and challenges of the sports industry. No previous Bible Study experience is needed!

Up-and-coming sport industry professionals, interns, or student managers may apply for one of our USG Academy teams. Once selected, teams will complete our 8-week training and attend an Impact Weekend gathering.

Explore Our Opportunities
The USG Academy
The USG Academy is an eight-week virtual discipleship program designed to equip Christians in sports to live Christ-centered lives. Through our curriculum, The Playbook, participants develop rhythms of daily Scripture and prayer, learn how to engage in spiritual conversations, and practice key spiritual disciplines.
The Academy also includes professional development and each participant is paired with a USG staff member for one-on-one mentorship throughout the program.
Mission Trips
We have lead 20+ mission trips to various international and domestic locations. These trips are funded for our participants and are focused on development through service and spiritual growth.
These trips happen annually each summer and are two weeks in length. Each trip includes opportunities to serve with local ministry partners, share the gospel, and engage with a new culture.

Conference & Events
We believe conferences are a great way to learn and develop. We provide funding for our community to attend professional and spiritual conferences around the country including Passion, NACDA, NABC, AEMA, among others.
Sports is an industry of many events! These are great for experiencing the best of the sport industry and networking with top professionals. You'll often see our staff and our community at these events, as well.
Community Bible Studies
Each fall and spring, USG hosts 12-week virtual Bible studies for Christians working in the sport industry. Multiple study times are offered to accommodate varying schedules.
Participants engage in weekly Scripture readings and guided reflections through the WordGo app, and then gather for a weekly Zoom session—creating space for community, accountability, and meaningful discussion alongside personal study.
Regional Gatherings
Uncommon Sports Group's "Regional Gatherings" connect Christians employed in college and pro sports to other like-minded individuals living and working in the same cities.
These in-person events offer a unique opportunity for like-minded believers to connect through meaningful fellowship, featuring a shared meal, thought-provoking discussions, engaging worship through music, and a message from a guest speaker.
Reflection Scholarship
Every fall and spring, USG provides a scholarship opportunity for Christians working in sports and aspiring future leaders of the sport industry.
Our scholarships awards a total of $15,000 to thirteen winners. The application process includes watching a message from our annual conference and writing an essay reflecting on that message. Funds can be used for tuition, student loans, or other career development expenses.

CWS Conference
The Christians Working in Sports (CWS) Conference is an annual gathering of Christians working in sports. In the three years of the conference being in existence, hundreds of Christians working in sports have gathered.
The goal of the conference is to connect brothers and sisters working in sports together and equip believers to live out their faith through their careers.

The "Uncommon Podcast" has over a hundred episodes featuring conversations with Christian sport industry professionals and ministry leaders. USG also has a blog with countless articles about our ministry events and various relavant topics.
